1. Add a title (product name)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Change the link. A URL will appear under the title, consisting of the domain, category, and name. If the title is in Cyrillic, as in our case, we recommend writing this part of the permanent link in Latin. To do this, click the \u201cEdit\u201d<\/strong> button next to the URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Enter a text description of the product and upload additional images to the \u201cProduct description\u201d <\/strong>block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Add a short description<\/strong> in the last block. The main requirements for it are uniqueness and conciseness. You can describe the characteristics in more detail in the previous block with the description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. You can upload the main image for the product in the panel on the right in the \u201cProduct image<\/strong>\u201d block. The format is JPEG, maximum size is 300 MB. Additional images in the form of thumbnails are uploaded through the \u201cProduct Gallery<\/strong>\u201d block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. Fill in the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n General:<\/strong> regular price and, if you plan to offer a discount, the discounted price (the regular price will also be displayed, but automatically crossed out);<\/p>\n\n\n\n Availability:<\/strong> unique ID for accounting (item number), available\/out of stock (set manually), possibility to reserve and sell no more than 1 unit;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Delivery:<\/strong> dimensions, delivery class (required for free delivery or delivery at an increased price);<\/p>\n\n\n\n Related products:<\/strong> similar or recommended items at the order stage (the \u201cProduct Offer\u201d field), additional products advertised in the cart (the \u201cRelated Products\u201d field);<\/p>\n\n\n\n Attributes:<\/strong> additional values (color, size) for each product. You can create attributes through the \u201cProducts\u201d<\/strong> \u21d2 \u2018Attributes\u2019<\/strong> \u21d2 \u201cAdd attribute\u201d<\/strong> button \u21d2 \u201cValue settings\u201d<\/strong> in the table on the right. It is better to fill in the \u201cPart of link\u201d<\/strong> field with Latin characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, for each value, specify the name, part of the URL, and, if desired, a description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can enter attributes for a product in the product data \u2014 at the top, select \u201cVariable product<\/strong>\u201d \u21d2 select the attribute, for example, \u201cSize<\/strong>\u201d \u21d2 click on the \u2018Add<\/strong>\u2019 button \u21d2 enter the desired value \u21d2 check the boxes next to \u201cUse for variations\u201d and \u201cVisibility on product page<\/strong>\u201d \u21d2 \u201cSave attributes<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, in the \u201cVariations<\/strong>\u201d block, select \u201cCreate variations from all attributes<\/strong>\u201d \u21d2 \u2018Go<\/strong>\u2019 and fill in the required fields \u21d2 click the \u201cSave changes<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Important note: you must specify the price for each variation, otherwise the product with this attribute will be displayed on the website as \u201cOut of stock<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Additionally:<\/strong> purchase note (the text of the notification that the customer will receive upon successful order); menu order (the order in which the product will be placed in the catalog).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Enable reviews:<\/strong> permission to leave comments on the product and give it a rating. Please note that each new review will have to be approved manually via \u201cComments<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7. Finish by clicking \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d in the side menu on the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As soon as a customer orders a product on your website, the request will be sent to the \u201cOrders<\/strong>\u201d block in the \u201cWooCommerce<\/strong>\u201d section. When you click on it, you will see all the details, including contact information, payment type, delivery, and status:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A nuance with changing the order status \u2013 this process is not automated, so after receiving payment, you will have to change the order status manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You will also see a block with notes on the right. You can make a \u201cPrivate note<\/strong>\u201d purely for yourself and a \u201cNote for the buyer<\/strong>\u201d (for example, the invoice number), which they will receive by email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the \u201cBuyers\u201d<\/strong> block of the \u201cWooCommerce\u201d<\/strong> section, you can see a table with customers. You can also check how much revenue you have received from each of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If something unexpected happens and your site goes down, you can restore your previous settings through the \u201cStatus\u201d<\/strong> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Category management in WooCommerce is done through the \u201cCategories<\/strong>\u201d block in the \u201cProducts\u201d<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After installing WooCommerce, you will already have one default category called \u201cUncategorized.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To add a new category, fill in the required fields on the left side of the screen: name \u21d2 part of the link (in Latin characters) \u21d2 in the \u201cParent category\u201d<\/strong> field, leave the selection \u201cNone,\u201d<\/strong> but if you are creating a subcategory, you need to specify a parent category for it \u21d2 description (optional) \u21d2 select the display type on the category page \u21d2 set the image that will be displayed for this category \u21d2 click \u201cAdd New Category\u201d. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On the right, the entire list of categories will be displayed on the right side of the table. The \u201cquestion mark in a circle\u201d will indicate the default category. You can change it by moving the cursor over the desired category and clicking \u201cSet as default\u201d.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Tags, like categories, are created to link products to each other. The main difference is that there is no hierarchy for tags. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For example, if you are planning to sell clothing and you have a lot of leather products, you can create a separate label for such products, and even add it to the menu or sidebar if necessary. The process of creating tags is no different from creating categories, but everything happens in the Tags section<\/strong>. Fill in the name \u21d2 part of the link \u21d2 description (optional) \u21d2 \u201cAdd new tag\u201d<\/strong> button. All created tags will be displayed in the table on the left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To assign a tag to products, you need to return to the individual product settings and select the desired tag in the \u201cProduct tags\u201d<\/strong> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All work with reviews is configured in the section \u201cWooCommerce<\/strong>\u201d \u21d2 \u2018Settings<\/strong>\u2019 \u21d2 \u201cProducts<\/strong>\u201d tab. At the very bottom, there will be a block with the reviews settings. By default, they are enabled, but you can disable them by unchecking the \u201cEnable product reviews\u201d<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can also allow only those people who have already purchased a product from you to leave reviews, enable a rating in reviews, and determine whether it is mandatory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n General inventory settings can be configured in WooCommerce<\/strong> \u21d2 Settings<\/strong> \u21d2 Products<\/strong> tab \u21d2 Availability<\/strong> tab. To start the detailed settings, check the box next to \u201cEnable product-level inventory management\u201d<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you plan to hold stock for unpaid orders for some time, specify this value in the \u201cStock Hold (min)\u201d<\/strong> field. The default value is 60 minutes. If you leave the field blank, this function will not be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the \u201cNotifications\u201d<\/strong> block, you can enable or disable notifications about low stocks and stock expiration. These notifications will be sent to the email you specify in the Notification recipients<\/strong> field. You can specify several recipients by separating them with a comma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Below you can define the stock threshold at which these notifications will be sent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can also hide out-of-stock items from the catalog and display the number of items in stock in 3 formats: <\/p>\n\n\n\n First, let’s figure out the delivery zones. To do this, go to WooCommerce<\/strong> \u21d2 Settings<\/strong> \u21d2 Products<\/strong> tab \u21d2 Shipping<\/strong> tab \u21d2 Shipping<\/strong> Zones \u21d2 Add new<\/strong> or Edit<\/strong> existing by hovering over the zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n What do you need to do at this stage?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Free shipping<\/strong> – for this option, you can choose a minimum order amount or a special coupon. To set these values, hover over \u201cFree Shipping\u201d and click \u201cEdit\u201d. If necessary, you can disable this delivery method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Flat rate <\/strong>– allows you to set a fixed amount for delivery. In the editing mode of this payment method, you can also specify the status of the delivery tax and, in fact, the delivery cost itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pickup<\/strong> – allows your customers to pick up the goods themselves. By default, basic taxes will be charged regardless of the buyer’s address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this tab, you can make the following settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shipping classes should be added in cases where you need to provide different shipping prices for certain types of goods (for example, customers may pay more for oversized goods). To create a new class, click on the \u201cAdd shipping class\u201d<\/strong> button on the right in the table. Fill in the required fields (name, part of the link in Latin, description) and click on \u201cSave changes\u201d.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n To change the price for goods of a certain class, go back to editing \u201cDelivery zones\u201d <\/strong>\u21d2 \u201cSingle rate\u201d<\/strong> \u21d2 set the value in the \u201cCost\u201d<\/strong> field to \u20180\u2019 \u21d2 and in the line \u201cNot set cost of delivery class\u201d<\/strong> indicate the value that was in the \u201cCost\u201d<\/strong> field. This is necessary so that the total cost of delivery does not add up to the cost of the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now we need to assign the created classes to the defined products. To do this, go to the \u201cProducts\u201d<\/strong> section \u21d2 click on \u201cEdit\u201d<\/strong> in the field of a specific product \u21d2 \u2018Shipping\u2019<\/strong> \u21d2 \u201cShipping class\u201d <\/strong>(only one class can be selected for each product) \u21d2 Update the product so that the changes are saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you need to assign the created class to several products at once, check the boxes next to the required products \u21d2 in \u201cGroup Actions\u201d<\/strong> select \u2018Edit\u2019<\/strong> \u21d2 \u201cApply\u201d<\/strong> \u21d2 from the drop-down menu select the shipping class \u21d2 Save changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you plan to send goods via shipping, you can just install shipping plugins. But if you want to deliver your goods to other states, delivery tariffs will differ, you should integrate with USPS, UPS or any other shipping company.
